In this combined English/History class, students explored the Civil Rights era by incorporating thematic elements of To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. These elements are woven together in a timeline of African–American history as Jennifer, Melinda, & Stephanie presetn a new understanding on the status of Civil Rights – then and now.
